Quick SEO Tip

I’m going to tell you right off, I am not a SEO expert. I know the basic ‘ins and outs’ and apply quite a few of the the different techniques but I will never claim to be an expert in the SEO game.  Sometimes though, knowing the basics is a good starting point.

SEO for those of you who don’t know is ‘Search Engine Optimization.’

Search Engine Optimization is a process of choosing the most appropriate targeted keyword phrases related to your site and ensuring that this ranks your site highly in search engines so that when someone searches for specific phrases it returns your site on tops. It basically involves fine tuning the content of your site along with the HTML and Meta tags and also involves appropriate link building process.

Now, how do you know what keywords to use? You want to use keywords that people are looking for but you also want to use keywords that a million people are not already using.

The Hottest New Product? The 12 Month Internet Millionaire

Fall is the time of the year for all kinds of launches, programs, Giveaways, JVs and of course, products.

Seems the latest ‘hottest product’ that everyone’s to be talking about is the 12 Month Internet Millionaire.

This is Russell Brunson’s latest brainchild where he interviews Vince James who happens to be a 28 yr old convicted felon. Yeah, I know, that’s what I thought too… until I started reading a little more about this Vince James. Seems this guys makes money and I don’t mean a few bucks here and there, I am talking mega bucks! Millions… easily! About $100 MILLION in only 23 months… selling a $60 product!!!

Basically Russell corralled Vince into a 6 hr interview, this guy charges about $5K an hour, and asked him to reveal his ’secrets’ and how his offline techniques could be applied online to make that kind of mega moola. Got your interest now, don’t I? Mine too, so don’t feel bad.

Well at this point all I can say is do what I did and check it out - 12 Month Internet Millionaire!

Then let me know what you think! :D

Blogging - Some Tips for Success

If you’ve checked me out before, you know that I am a serious proponent of blogging.  I usually combine my blog with a website for additional impact and crosspost between the two.

Question is, how do you market your blog and how do you make it successful? How do you go about getting your blog out there to be seen and known by others? How do you draw readers and keep them coming back for more?

There are actually quite a number of ways to do this, some more challenging, some less so and it depends on you.  You are not going to get really successful by just setting up a blog and hoping that people will find it and read it. You are not going to gain any links, nor a higher search engine ranking by just having a blog. So here are some tips to help you along your road to success.

Are You Running Around in Circles and Getting Nowhere?

Now you may find this a ‘back to the basics’ type thing but every now and then we all have to go back to the basics, from ‘newbies’ to seasoned marketers alike. And this is not only for those in Internet Marketing, this is for everyone.

One of the biggest problems I had always found myself faced by is having so much to do within a limited amount of time. I’d find myself frazzled; jumping from one thing to another in an effort to accomplish everything and at the end of the day find I’d actually accomplished little to nothing. I’d be further behind than when I started. Talk about increasing the stress factors!

Finally I worked out a method that seems to work very well for me, and others who have adopted this have agreed. Just like any idea, you will need to adapt the specifics to work for you. And it is a very basic, very simple idea, which may be the reason that many people don’t think of it.

Marketing — Getting the Word Out

Online, there are many ways to market, to get the word out about your website or business; paid and free advertising, PPC, eBook distribution, email, banners, sig-files, different exchanges from banners to links, PR, personal recommendations, SEO and article marketing, to name a few. All of these do work to one degree or another.

In the past I have usually relied on natural SEO, which since my platform is blog sites, tends to work relatively well. With well written content, a blog will be indexed very quickly. I have found myself getting search engine traffic within days to some of my sites.

I also use free eBook distribution through free eBook sites or JVs. JVs can be an especially good way to start building your list, especially if you’re new but most of them tend to fall in the Internet Marketing category. I have used them to market one of my niche sites with some success though.

Oddly enough, one of the best methods I have found is one that I have begun to utilize only recently; Article Marketing. If you have a website or blog site, you have to provide good quality content, usually in the form of writing something to pass along information; an article. I have been writing articles for years. I am an avid researcher in numerous fields of my interest of which I have developed sites for, so although I may not be an absolute expert, I know a great deal. On top of that I find that I have a natural knack for writing and enjoy it immensely.

You’re Not in the Business You Think You Think You Are

Huh? You’re probably thinking that I have no idea what I’m talking about. If you’re doing business online you figure you know what you’re doing, but unless you’re following this train of thought, you’re wrong. And being wrong about this can make the difference between success and failure or getting to the top or just getting by.

The bottom line is, the business you are in is Marketing. It’s true. No matter what your business is, no matter what you sell or promote, you’re not really in that business. You’re in the business of marketing that business and marketing yourself.

When you begin to understand this and change your thinking accordingly, you will find yourself progressing toward your goals in an easier and less stressful manner.

Instead of telling people that you’re the best, that your product is the best, your company, your services, etc. are all the best, instead of force feeding them your offers then wondering why you’re not getting anywhere, learn productive, responsive marketing techniques and you’ll have people coming to you.

Resources

Everyone who works in Internet Marketing has resources that they use for specific reasons and I think most of us like the get the ‘most bang for the buck.’ I know that I do!

I want the top quality resources for the best price. By that I do not mean that I want ‘cheap’ stuff. the old adage that you get what you pay for is very often true but it is also tru that you can find some top quality resources without paying top bucks. You need to find a happy medium between what your getting and what you’re paying for it.
